Romance, romantic suspense and mystery… I’ve a lot of interests, and the diversity spills over into my writing. Professionally, I practice law, and I write. Sometime I even write about lawyers. My legal practice also entails writing…contracts.

So what’s your pleasure? A good story with a satisfying ending? Mine, too--and that’s what I like to write, no matter what the genre or subgenre.

My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Lexie is here to greet you in the middle of my middle initial O? because she would love for you to read the exploits of her alter-ego named… Lexie. That Lexie’s debut was in January 2005 in the first Kendra Ballantyne, pet-sitter, Berkley Prime Crime mystery, SIT, STAY, SLAY, and she's back in the second Kendra book, NOTHING TO FEAR BUT FERRETS. Check them out! And, of course, Lexie plays an important role in the third book of the series, FINE FEATHERED DEATH, published in May 2006, the fourth book of the series, MEOW IS FOR MURDER, was published in February 2007, and the fifth Kendra mystery, THE FRIGHT OF THE IGUANA, came out in October 2007. Both MEOW and IGUANA were on the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association bestseller lists for the months they were published! DOUBLE DOG DARE was a June 2008 release. Watch for the seventh Kendra adventure, NEVER SAY STY, in April 2009. And Kendra and Lexie will be returning to recount their adventures in at least two books after that! And... Okay. I’ve done it. I’ve agreed to participate weekly in a blog. How could I resist? I get to blog about pets! Come visit the Killer Hobbies blog anytime. My fellow bloggers, also mystery writers whose characters have hobbies to die for, will discuss pastimes ranging from genealogy to scrapbooking, doll collecting and needlework. My pet posts are there every Thursday.

Watch for my Silhouette Nocturnes in 2009. The first is ALPHA WOLF, about a sexy military man, a member of the Alpha Force, who just happens to be a werewolf, and the lovely veterinarian who saves his life. It is a January 2009 release. Concurrently, CLAWS OF THE LYNX, a Nocturne Bites e-novella about the Alpha Force, will be released by eHarlequin.com.

The second, BACK TO LIFE, is about a lady K-9 cop who is also a Valkyrie, who saves the life of a tormented SWAT officer with secrets of his own. It will be a June 2009 release.
