I DOUBLE DOG DARE You!

The sixth Kendra Ballantyne, Pet-Sitter Mystery, will be released in June, 2008.  Interestingly, despite the "double" in the title, there are 3 Akitas on the cover.  But, then, the book has a cloning theme, so maybe the third one just popped up somehow...  In any event, the seventh Kendra book, NEVER SAY STY, will be released in April 2009, and I'm thrilled to say that there will be at least two more Kendra books.  Stay tuned!

Start Shivering...

I've been given publication dates for my two upcoming Silhouette Nocturnes.  The first, working title MOONLIGHT AND FIRE (about to change!), will be published in January 2009.  It's about a lady veterinarian who finds herself saving a handsome werewolf.  The second, working title MORTAL OPTIONS, will be published in June 2009.  It's about a K-9 cop whose heritage comes with certain Valkyrie powers, and she finds herself saving the life of a sexy SWAT Team member.  Do you sense some themes here besides the dark and sensual paranormal stuff?  Also, watch for my upcoming Nocturne Bites!

Upcoming Appearances

Never let it be said that I don't take advantage of opportunities.

First, BookExpo America will be held in Los Angeles, where I live, the last weekend in May.  I'll be helping to staff the Mystery Writers of America booth on Saturday, May 31, and will also be signing and giving away some of Kendra's mysteries at that booth at 10:30 that Saturday morning.  Come see me if you're attending BEA!

Next, I've had some very exciting news.  My older son, Eric, is getting married this year.  His fiancée, Tara, is having a bridal shower in the Chicago area on June 8...which happens to coincide with the Chicago Tribune's Printers Row Book Fair.  I'll be signing some Kendra stories at the Big Sleep Bookstore booth at 12:00 noon, and will also be signing at the Midwest Chapter of MWA's booth at a time yet to be determined.  Once again, drop by and see me if you're there!

I'm doing a chat on NovelTalk on Wednesday, June 11, and will be helping to staff the Sisters in Crime booth at the American Library Association annual conference in Anaheim, California, the last weekend in June, although I don' t have a time yet.

On July 12, I'll be giving at talk at the Kern County Library in Bakersfield, California.  And at the end of July, I'll be at the Romance Writers of America's annual conference in San Francisco.
